Job Description
The primary focus of the Marketing and Development Manager will be to take complete ownership of Marketing,
Development (Fundraising) and oversee Events, alongside the Events and Marketing Coordinator.
Marketing:
- Maintain and update website content to ensure it is well presented, up to date and accurate, in particular the pages relating to news and events.

- Manage and maintain content on social media channels and ensure clear brand and safeguarding guidelines are in place.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for marketing materials.
- Assist with preparation of the bulletins/newsletter, promotional video, photography and other marketing materials as required, including writing copy.
- Ensure that all external communications are clear, consistent and reflect the high standards and values of the Business.
- Work with the relevant staff to ensure the activities are communicated to all stakeholders.
- Day to day management of branded social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook, X and LinkedIn.
- Create and post engaging social media text, photographs and video content across all channels.
- Monitor and report social media engagement.
- Work alongside external videographers to create video content to support the business retention.
Development (Fundraising):
- Develop and execute a fundraising strategy alongside the Director.
- Identify and engage potential grantees, donors, sponsors, and partners, including individuals, corporates, foundations and trusts, central government, government agencies, legacies etc.
- Plan and implement innovative fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including government, businesses, trusts and foundations, agencies, community organisations and other charities.
- Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fundraising, grants and business development activities.
Events:
- Support with the Events and Marketing Coordinator with the administration and organisation of events.
- Responsibility for ensuring timely communication, liaising with Finance if necessary and ensuring all administrative tasks have been completed.
- Reviewing the efficiency of current processes and procedures in relation to events and implementing new ones where required.
- Ensure events are planned in accordance with policies.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including catering and audio-visual requirements.
Other:
- Support the admin team with the preparation of documents for all stakeholders.
- Responding to general queries by phone, email, post and in person in a timely and efficient manner.
About You:
Interested candidates will need a relevant Marketing degree or equivalent along with a solid employment background in Marketing & Development. Have an up-to-date knowledge of all social media platforms, video and content.
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday 0800-1600 and Friday’s 0800-1530.
